Position Description

Frontier Water Systems Sr. Control Systems Engineer is expected to perform the following minimum requirements:

  • Mentor and coach entry-level and junior staff toward personal and professional growth
  • Work with Project Managers to identify appropriate staffing to ensure group meets project deliverables as defined in the job guideline
  • Stay current with the latest applicable technologies
  • Define, design, develop, and commission process control systems
  • Provide technical guidance and review of project deliverables
  • Conduct commissioning activities on site to support control system implementation
  • Implement and administer PI system as new projects go live
  • Provide remote support as needed
  • Prepare monthly resource loaded schedule for group detailing projects/tasks assigned to controls group
  • Work with production team to ensure panels are constructed to UL508A standard and project specifications by required delivery dates
  • Participate in employee reviews and provide feedback as scheduled by HR

Requirements and Expectations

The successful candidate must have strong control system design and system integration experience in a dynamic engineering environment. Ideal requirements include:

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Mechanical)
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Design, configuration, and commissioning of Rockwell Automation based PAC/PLC systems (CompactLogix, ControlLogix)
  • Design, configuration, and commissioning of Rockwell Automation based HMI/SCADA systems (FTView Studio SE & ME) Configuration of OSI PI Historian
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CIP networks
  • Must have the ability to create and modify technical documentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot motorized equipment and instrumentation
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Operating Systems (Win 7, 10, Server 2012/R2, Server 2016)
  • Thorough knowledge of VMWare software suite
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate – Industrial
  • Thorough understanding and programming experience in Studio 5000 Logix Designer, specifically in Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram
  • Work toward Professional Engineering (PE) licensure within two years
